One thing that sets me apart from many other web designers is that I don’t just focus on websites looking fancy.
Yes, it’s important that your website looks great. But surely the number one objective for many small businesses is to get found in the search engines. That’s where SEO comes in.
I feel very strongly that good web design is as much about the boring but important stuff that you don’t see, as it is about the front-end design.
There’s a lot of research and technical know how that needs to happen at the creation point of your website to help it rank in the search engines in the future.
For every website, I make sure all those boring but essential ‘attention to detail’ things that no-one but the Google-bots ever appreciate is in place. It’s not front-end flashy, but it’s hugely important for you future SEO and a lot of other website designers either don’t do this, or do it badly.
